Toujeo solostar
Toujeo Solostar is a trademark of Sanofi, a prescription drug. Toujeo is FDA-approved for treating type 1 and Type 2 diabetics in children and adults six years old or older.
Toujeo is a source of insulin glargine, which is a long-acting insulin. It can be used in a subcutaneous injection made in a pen-shaped prefilled injection.
Toujeo dosage forms!
There are two kinds of Toujeo pen:
Toujeo SoloStar.
This prefilled pen is available with the equivalent of 450 units of insulin glargine in 1.5 milliliters of solution. It can therefore provide the equivalent of 80 units of insulin an infusion.
2. Toujeo Max SoloStar.
The pen that is prefilled contains the equivalent of 900 units of insulin glargine in 3mL of arrangement. It can therefore provide as much as 160 insulin units per dose.

Toujeo is an FDA-approved medication to regulate blood sugar levels for adults and treat diabetes type 1 or type 2.

Toujeo solostar Pen Storage
Toujeo pen can be kept at the temperature (2degC up to 8degC), but it should not be stored in a freezer.
Pens that are frozen Toujeo are to be destroyed and are not usable.
Please don’t put it back in the refrigerator after Toujeo is taken off the fridge and uses the medicine.
Toujeo can be stored Toujeo at ambient temperature ( 30 degrees Celsius) for 56 days.
Switching to Toujeo
Changing from another once-day, long-acting insulin to Toujeo, your starting dose of Toujeo would probably be equivalent to your dose for the other long-acting insulin.
- After you switch, your physician will adjust your Toujeo dose.
- If you want to change from Lantus to Toujeo, you need a higher daily toujeo dose than Lantus because the body absorbs Toujeo more slowly than Lantus solution.
What happens if you don’t get the toujeo dose?
If you didn’t take your toujeo dose within two hours of your scheduled dose, it’s okay, and you can take the Toujeo amount. However, you must note that it may require adjusting the next time you take your dose.
The side effects of Toujeo Insulin
Toujeomay can cause minor to severe side effects.

Common side effects.
The most commonly reported side effects of Toujeo are:

Blood sugar levels are extremely low. levels, symptoms such as

- sweating
- shaking
- Vision blurry
- confusion
- headache
- irritability
- Loss of consciousness as well as Coma
Low potassium level
