Victoza Side Effect Constipation:

One of the main side effects of Victoza injection is constipation, which develops during treatment and lasts as long as you use this medication. This constipation is due to the liraglutide’s main action — the slowing down of digestion and gastric emptying.

Management:

To prevent constipation, eat lots of fiber-rich foods or take a fiber supplement. If constipation gets bad, look for certain laxatives, but don’t use them more than once a day.

Victoza side Effect Diarrhea:

Diarrhea with Victoza injection is not common. It’s rare. It happens when you take the injection after a meal. Diarrhea is short-lived, but if it stays for long, it means you’re allergic to liraglutide.

How to manage Diarrhea with Victoza?

Always use Victoza on an empty stomach to avoid Diarrhea. If you are using Victoza injection for the first time and have Diarrhea that does not go away, you become dehydrated. Then stop the medication and look for medical attention. If you take a Victoza injection and the diarrhea episodes are not frequent, it will go away.

Victoza Side Effect Nausea & Vomiting

Nausea and vomiting are the most common side effects of liraglutide. This happens due to the main action of this drug, which is to delay gastric emptying, and you feel full all the time.

How to manage:

If vomiting is severe, use any medication like metoclopramide to relieve nausea and vomiting. But for use, this only once per day because it can oppose the primary mechanism of liraglutide.
